Photographed in Normandy, France, Louis Vuitton Women’s Fall-Winter 2021 campaign debuted showcasing Nicolas Ghesquière’s pieces adorned with fabulous drawings by Fornasetti.
Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter 2021 collection pays reference to a different era, continuing the Maison’s Spirit of Travel. Reflecting on Greco-Roman antiquity, the collection includes the exquisitely illustrated world of Italian artistic design atelier Fornasetti, and rich embroideries that highlight Maison’s savoir-faire and craftsmanship.
The Patti wedge high boot is the statement of the Fall-Winter 2021 collection. made from supple, grained goat leather, it is Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière’s reinterpretation of a biker jacket and is distinguished by its folded straps with engraved metal studs. This boot has a double zip for easy fitting and a steady wedge heel.
The Bow Jacquard fleece jacket is perfect for chilly fall days. Drop shoulders and an oversized cut give this fleece jacket a relaxed, gender-fluid feel. The ornate bow jacquard from the collection’s collaboration with artistic atelier Fornasetti draws on Ancient Greek and Roman motifs, while shiny inserts and ribbed detailing add a sporty, contemporary touch. Signed with a leather Louis Vuitton patch.
The collection includes new designs of bags, such as the Troca, and also features reinterpretations of Louis Vuitton’s iconic models. Some bags combine Fornasetti’s artworks with Nicolas Ghesquière’s contemporary design. Designed for day-to-evening use, the small Troca PM handbag is crafted from Damier Quilt, padded lambskin with a large checkerboard Damier pattern. Compact and supple, this bag can be worn cross-body and carried by hand. Its squarish shape is perfectly complemented by the gold-color S-lock. The Capucines MM handbag is garnished with the Faded Portrait theme, from the season’s LVxFornasetti capsule collection. Made from gold metallic leather, the bag is printed with the faces of antique statues, exquisitely drawn in the renowned Fornasetti style.
The collection’s accessories range includes Louis Vuitton’s ski mask that features strong complementary colors, embellished with the Maison’s signature Monogram.
